The PR-9 sonic tester is a specialized tool widely utilized in measuring the thickness of various components within the racing industry, including cylinder walls, head ports, decks, chassis tubing, body panels, and windshields.

One notable feature is the dual-element probe style, offering the capability to identify blind surface corrosion or deterioration on concealed surfaces in the water jacket area before initiating cylinder or port boring. The high-speed scan function allows for swift measurements, capturing 100 data points per second and significantly saving time when scanning an entire cylinder.

To use the PR-9, simply drag the probe from the bottom of the cylinder, at a designated clock position, up to the deck area to pinpoint the minimum thickness. Once the scan is complete, users can deactivate it and precisely locate the area with the minimum thickness.

Enhancing accuracy, the PR-9 provides three material calibration options: single point, two-point, and target velocity. For manual report creation, cylinder wall mapping software is available. As a testament to our confidence in the product's quality, we offer a 5-year limited warranty.
