The Qualitest range of gel timers is designed for accurately measuring the gel time of resinous plastics, adhesives, curing oils, two-component elastomers, and paints. Each gel timer uses a low-torque synchronous motor that rotates a specially shaped stirrer within the catalyzed resin or elastomer.
As gelation begins, the increasing drag causes the motor to stall, triggering an electronic circuit that stops the timer and activates a flashing light. The precise gel time is then displayed on the easy-to-read LCD screen.
- Simple to operate – place the material sample in the cup, insert the wire stirrer, set the counter to 0 and switch on the unit
- No mess – No tools required – No cleanup
- The motor can remain stalled overnight without damaging the unit
Choose from three different models:
- Basic Version
- Hot Pot Version
- “Hot Pot” Model - Determines gel time at temperatures up to 350 °F with a simple rheostat temperature controller
- “StablTemp Hot Pot” Model - determines gel time at temperatures up to 350 °F with electronic proportioning control which regulates the set temperature with virtually no drift or variation
