The Qualitest Falling Rod Viscometer is designed to measure the time it takes for a precision rod to fall 10cm. By recording several "fall times," you can calculate the viscosity and yield value of the ink using either the included software or your preferred method. This test adheres to ASTM D 4040-10 and ISO 12644, the "Standard Test Method for Rheological Properties of Paste Printing and Vehicles by the Falling-Rod Viscometer."
The basic Falling Rod Viscometer system includes the instrument stand, rod and collar, and a 100g weight.
