Torsion Testing Machine QualiFTT is used to verify the suitability of high-strength bolt, nut, and washer assemblies for pre-loaded bolted connections in metallic structures. This test ensures that the fastener assembly behaves as expected, allowing the required pre-load to be reliably achieved using the tightening methods specified in ENV 1090, while providing sufficient margins against over-tightening and failure.

The torque is generated by a servo motor and gear box. The torsional angle is directly measured from the servo motor, and both the bolt force and torque are directly obtained from load cells.
